2. USS John S. McCain

3. Carbon Monoxide detectors in the police cars

4. 50 million people in the US will watch and millions more around the world

5. I would go to the Austin Pride parade because no one should be judged for who they like

Long response:
1.  I read an article about how Heather Heyer was killed when she was protesting a white nationalist rally. After that they put a black cover over the statue of Robert E. Lee to take in the death of the women.

2. I think the statue should have been shrouded. The reason why it should have been covered is because we should pause the disagreement and take in what happened on August twelfth. A women was killed and we need to look back as ask ourselves why are we protesting when these hate groups are hurting the people around us.

3. I think taking down all the Confederate statues was a bad decision. We are erasing history day by day because other people think what happened in the past is offensive to them. Everyone needs to remember history is behind us and if we keep dwelling on the past we will not have a positive outlook in the future.

4. I care if these statues are visible because history means a lot to me. If we take down the statue, then some people might forget about what happened to make us stronger. What happened in the past makes us a stronger nation together. Everyone has a opinion and if we don't think about both sides before making a decision then it will be unfair.

5. I have been in a discussion in history class about if we should keep these statues or take them down. My old history teacher Mr. Denny let everyone have a voice and we debated the pro's and con's to taking these statues down. We went around the room and everyone spoke their opinion and accepted the other opinions around us. We did not argue or degrade someone's thoughts or feelings because it is not the right thing to do.
