1. It was surprising that Trump made a decision without the support of the other leaders because when making a decision they all discuss and they come up with an idea together. Another reason why it is surprising is because the three-month deal was rejected hours earlier and Trump brought the deal back. The House Speaker, Paul Ryan must of had a reason to reject the deal.
2. Trump saw how bad south Texas looked and he saw how much they needed help, so he accepted the deal. He didn't need the other party leaders to know how bad Harvey has affected Texas. Trump is worrying about the damage that has happened and the damage that there still is to come. Irma is barreling to Florida. If I was president I would be freaking out because so many people are getting hurt from the hurricanes that are barreling towards our country.
3. I think the GOP is kinda frustrated because they already made a decision on this three-month deal, and then Trump goes and accepts it. They both have different ideas for what to do about these horrible times. Trump needs to start discussing things before he goes and makes decisions. I am not saying all the decisions he is making are bad. I am also not saying the decisions are good. There is no happy medium when it comes to the government and the president. Every time someone makes a decision one person is hurt or on the other side.
4. I think there are good and bad things that are happening with this deal. The Untied States is already in debt and I feel like this deal isn't going to help our position in this country debt. Also the people who are being hit with these deathly hurricanes are lucky to have made it out alive. Now that they made it through the hurricane they have lost all of their belongings. The hurricane was not the worst part of the storm. The worst part is trying to pick themselves up think positive and try their best to support themselves or their families.
