WHO: Janice Jones (53) and TomboWHAT: Janice was eating pork chops in the motor home when her gun was knocked off of a seat and it fired and hit Janice in the right leg.
WHERE: In her motor home.

WHY: Her dog knocked her gun off of the seat

"That dog was always mean he never liked me."
"I do not know what you are talking about. I never abused my dog, okay? He would be mean so I would give him a couple of burns here and there."
"It was so fast and after it happened I had no idea what to do."

News Story
On Wednesday at 10pm, Janice Jones was in her motor home where she was shot in the leg when her dog hit it off a seat and it discharged.
Jones was transported to Huntington Beach Hospital.
"It could have been worse," Tammy Rye a member of the California Highway Patrol said.
The bullet went through Jones's right leg and quickly after she was taken to the hospital.
"It was so fast and after it happened I had no idea what to do," Jones said.
The dog was taken to Huntington Beach Animal Control.
"I don't blame the dog for knocking that gun off the seat," Rye said. "She abused him and he was miserable."
Janet Ngo, one of the animal control officers are filing animal abuse charges against Jones.
"The dog has fresh cigar burns and he was starving," Ngo said.
Jones does not have a permit for the gun and her license plates are expired.
"This women is a criminal," Rye said. "I am happy we found her before she could do anything else."
