Unethical and Ethical Photoshopping
A. What are some of the main points you read about in the website above regarding manipulating images? Some of the manipulating of the photos are polar opposites of what the pictures look like now. Also the main question should photo editing be allowed? Photo editing can ruin people's reputations and it could affect their life.
B. What is the philosophy of newspapers like the Washington Post and the New York times regarding image manipulation? The company's say that the original scene will be the photos that they use and no colors will be manipulated.
C. What do you think are acceptable things you could do to an image and not cross the line unto an unethical manipulation? I think it is acceptable to clean things up, but it is not acceptable to clash two photos together. Also I think that if you want to mess with a photo a lot in photoshop; then you can do a photo of nature or yourself. It won't hurt anyone's reputation except yours.

| I think this is the most unethical because it makes him look 10 times scarier. I don't care what he did he should not be edited to look scary. We definitely learn the opinion of the piece without even reading it. This was very wrong to do because he looks like a normal man in the second photo. |

| I think this is the least unethical photo because it only fixes her teeth and if you did not point that out I would not have noticed. In the first picture I cannot even see her teeth that well and same in the second. It was just something that added on a little touch. |
