The blog that I follow everyday is Daily Mail and I look at this blog through Snap Chat. Daily Mail gives me updates on celebrities and I read the article if the title reels me into it. I always go back to reading their things because I check snap chat everyday. On snap chat I see it there and they come out with new things every single day.

Regular Opinion Piece over Social Media
Social media is what helps us stay connected to others who are far away from us. Social Media is not a good thing to be on a lot because eventually you can become addicted to it. In social media the amount of views and likes are what make you a super-star these days.
About 81% of the population in 2017 has at least one social media account. Our world revolves around the new technology of today and tomorrow. The kids that are born in these years are growing up with technology in their hands.
Another big issue with social media is cyberbullying. Many teens use their phone on a daily basis which makes it easier for cyber bullying to occur. Cyberbullying is when one attacks another on social media to make them feel bad about themselves. About 10 to 20 percent of teens are experiencing cyberbullying on a regular basis.
Students who use social media a lot tend to have lower grades. Social media is made to keep you interested and make you want to keep reading. Studying and focusing on homework can be hard with all these different ring tones and distractions. Students who use social media while studying scored 20% lower than the students that didn’t.
If your social media account is not private; then anyone can find out information about you and create accounts that are pretending to be you. Nearly two of three U.S. adults say that they have had their social media account hacked. When you get hacked people can post things and when others see it they will think it is you that posted that.
Many things that people post can hurt another’s feelings. Social media makes friends and couples fight more because of the controversial posts. About 31% of teens who use social media have fought with a friend because of something that happened online. To stop this we should communicate and hang out with others more.
Face to face communication has been looked down upon ever since social media was introduced. To solve our problems we send a text or post something other than say it to their face. Our own president Donald Trump argues with the press on his Twitter. We need to go back to communication face to face because then we wouldn’t have half of the problems we face on a normal basis.
There is a lot of fake news on social media that people see and believe. 64% of people who use Twitter for news say that they have encountered something that they later found out was not true. Many social media sites allow anyone to post anything so fake news is everywhere.
Some apps bring people together based on their interests. You can meet new friends and talk to them online. Many online predators try to get to you through social media and pretend to be your friend though. One in five U.S. teenagers have been sent sexual solicitations on the web.

I like many points you listed, they are good
ReplyDeleteI like your story because you used so really good facts and made strong points. You have a good structure too. I think you could try to re-state your opinion in the end because you didn't. In the beginning at first it was very unclear your direct opinion until I continued to read.
